Maple Plain is about to get a major boost in convenience and community energy, as beloved Midwestern staple Kwik Trip appears poised to open a new location in town—this time, just north of the former Monies Bar & Grill, on the south side of Gateway Boulevard.
The exciting news came via a social media post from longtime local and Mayor Julie M. Maas-Kusske, who shared:
"I am thrilled to share that Kwik Trip is coming to Maple Plain! This new addition to our community is needed and welcomed. Kwik Trip will be located on the south side of Gateway Boulevard. Digging is scheduled to begin sometime this June or July. More information will be available soon. Stay tuned!"

While early reports mentioned the old Monies Bar & Grill, the planned Kwik Trip site appears to sit directly to the north of that building, creating new possibilities for the area and giving fresh energy to a key corner of town.
