Wayzata Sailing

Wayzata Sailing is a community sailing center at the Mike Plant Community Boathouse, 456 Arlington Circle in Wayzata. Its Wayzata Bay setting introduces children and adults to Lake Minnetonka through time on the water.

Learning on Wayzata Bay

The program spans introductory camps, returning-sailor instruction, school sailing and adaptive opportunities. Younger children can begin with an instructor aboard; later programs build confidence handling a boat more independently. Sailing and science programs also connect students with the lake's environment.

Choose a class by experience as well as age. A relaxed introduction and a racing program offer different days on the water. The center's program guide is the place to compare current options.

Nearby communities and sailing

Wayzata Yacht Club is a separate organization focused on club racing. For families comparing homes, convenient access to the boathouse can make summer camps and after-school sailing easier to fit into the week.
